ASPIRE Seeks To Lessen Aviation's Environmental Footprint
Japan became the latest partner in the Asia and Pacific
Initiative to Reduce Emissions (ASPIRE), which is designed to make
aircraft operations in the region more efficient in order to reduce
the emission of greenhouse gases.
The Washington Roundtable, a wide group of CEOs and corporate
leaders from the Pacific Northwest, recently sent a letter to
Boeing Commercial Airplanes President & CEO James Albaugh,
urging the company to site its second 787 line in Washington
state.

the "Airline Safety and Pilot Training Improvement Act of
2009." The bipartisan bill has been strongly supported by the

The executive director of The Coalition for an Airline
Passengers' Bill of Rights alleges in a federal lawsuit filed
Tuesday that Delta Air Lines obtained hacked e-mails and sabotaged
her organization's efforts to support pro-consumer legislation in
Congress, according to The Gibson Law Firm.
The Allied Pilots Association (APA) planned a two-hour
informational picket in Washington, DC Wednesday to protest
proposed anti-trust immunity in a possible deal between American
Airlines and British Airways.
