Partnership To Include Route-Sharing, Cross-Training On
Fleets
Citing the sharp downturn in the global economy, two Indian
airlines announced Monday they will join forces in order to
survive. Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines announced an alliance
that both carriers hope will "significantly rationalize and reduce
costs and provide improved standards of service and a wider choice
of air travel options to consumers with immediate effect."
Embraer and LAM - Linhas Aereas de Mocambique signed a contract
for two Embraer 190 aircraft, plus two purchase rights for the same
model. The total value of the deal is $75 million US, at list
prices, and could double if all purchase rights are exercised.

American Eagle’s new hire mean flight times have gone from
1500 hours total flight time with 300 hours of multi-engine stick
time to 1000 hours of total flight time, of which 100 must be
multi-engine.
