Embraer's final delivery statistics and order book shows that
the Brazilian planemaker delivered 92 jets during the fourth
quarter of 2010, 30 to the commercial aviation market, 61 to
executive aviation, and one to the defense segment.
Avionics Technology For The Dreamliner May Wind Up In C919
GE is reportedly planning to sign a joint venture with China's
Aviation Industry Corp (AVIC) which would clear the way for the
avionics technology which will be installed in Boeing's Dreamliner
to be adapted for China's Comac C919.
Flight Testing Resumed Monday Following November Electrical
Fire
The first Dreamliner flight since an electrical panel on ZA002
caught fire in November occurred Monday. ZA004 took off from Yuma,
AZ on a flight to show that the aircraft could safely jettison
fuel, which would be required before an emergency landing.
Airbus said Tuesday it has increased the average list price of
its aircraft by 4.4 per cent. The increment applies for all new
aircraft from the beginning of January 2011, apart from the A380,
for which the increase is 8.4 per cent.
The Russian government says that the investigation into the
accident last April which killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski,
his wife, and 94 others is complete. They lay the blame for the
accident on the pilot, who did not divert to an airport with better
weather.
