The Irish-born commercial pilot who sued the TSA last year after
he was placed on the agency's "No-Fly" list, without
explanation, has been cleared to return to the cockpit.
The National Transportation Safety Board has determined
that the cause of an aircraft accident in Kirksville, Missouri was
the pilots' failure to follow established procedures and properly
conduct a nonprecision instrument approach at night in instrument
meteorological conditions (IMC).
A meeting last April between a group of 787 engineers and a
Boeing investigator may have lasting repercussions on the airliner
the company is relying on to hold a competitive edge in the
marketplace.
