Stephen Ganote Named President Of Washington Space Business Roundtable

Group Promotes Commercial Space Businesses And Eduction In Washington, D.C. Area

At its August 2012 meeting, the board of the Washington Space Business Roundtable (WSBR) named Stephen Ganote its President for the 2012-13 fiscal year. Mr. Ganote replaces Dennis Granato of Lockheed Martin Space Systems and will be responsible for overseeing all WSBR activities.

Aviation author, Richard Bach, remains in serious but improving condition following his approach to landing accident on Saturday while flying an Amateur Built-Experimental SeaRey Amphib he purchased earlier this year. The Hoppers Jet Team has lost the newest member of the team after the crash of a L39 Albatross jet aircraft Saturday at the 2012 Quad City Airshow in Iowa. The accident occurred at approximately 1325 local time. The pilot has been identified as Glen A. Smith, 58, of Frisco, Texas. A group of students at a university in Maryland are a little closer to claiming the two-hundred-and-fifty-thousand-dollar ‘Sikorsky Prize.&r
