NASA tells us that it is accepting applications for the 2009
Astronaut Candidate Class. Those selected could fly to space for
long-duration stays on the International Space Station and missions
to the moon (step carefully and be on the lookout for Google-Lunar
X Prize Rovers...).
NASA tells ANN repair work is underway on a leaking hydraulic
seal in space shuttle Discovery’s right main-gear strut. The
struts act as shock absorbers during the shuttle's landing.
