Airborne 08.06.18: OSH18 'Near Perfect', Stratos 716, New NASA Crews

AirVenture Oshkosh 2018 set new attendance records and drew more than 10,000 aircraft, according to the final figures released by EAA. “A ‘perfect’ event may be unattainable, but AirVenture 2018 came about as close as one could imagine," said EAA chairman Jack Pelton. The event drew approximately 601,000, nearly two percent above of 2017’s record total. Stratos Aircraft has introduced an update on its VLJ program and introduced the Stratos 716 model. The Stratos 716 is an evolution of the 714 Proof of Concept (PoC) aircraft. Back To Space Seeking Candidates For Student Ambassador Program

Television Show Under Development To Tell The BTS Story

Back To Space (BTS) is seeking candidates for its 2018 Student Ambassador Program. Contestants will be selected based on the submission of essays or videos. Up to 25 will be selected and 10 will be named Senior Ambassadors, to be announced at the BTS VIP event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Apollo VII this October in Dallas. Winners will be expected to inspire fellow students to develop STEM goals and will have responsibilities that may include filming, acting, writing, producing, science experiment development, campus liaison, launch, recovery, and possibly even crew member on the private space launch.
