Smokey Bear will explore the stars with NASA's Cosmo astronaut mascot August 15 at Myles Standish State Forest near Plymouth, MA. This event commemorates Smokey Bear's historic journey into space, as he accompanies NASA astronaut Joe Acaba aboard the International Space Station. The public is invited to attend this free event and learn about space, wildfire, and how NASA and the U.S. Forest Service work together for the conservation of trees, water, and natural resources.
