Program Will Allow NASA Scientists To Work With Industry
NASA's Innovative Partnerships Program, in coordination with the
agency's Office of the Chief Engineer and Office of Human Capital
Management, has announced the selection of the 2009 Innovation
Ambassadors.
Team Develops Energy Efficient Tire That Won't Go Flat
It sort of goes without saying that if you have a flat on the
moon, it's a long way to the nearest tire store. Not to mention air
is kind of at a premium. So NASA and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber
Company have developed an airless tire to transport large,
long-range vehicles across the surface of the moon.
U.S. Army astronaut Col. Tim Kopra Tuesday became the first
International Space Station crew member to communicate through
Twitter. Col. Kopra sent the following message, "What a fun shuttle
mission - especially with 13 people on board station."
