Airshow Pilot Dan Buchanan was lost in an Airshow accident that occurred during a performance at the Gunfighter Skies Air & Space Celebration at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, over the weekend. The accident occurred approximately 1330 local time. Local rescue operations were quick to the scene, airlifted Dan to nearby medical facilities, whereupon it was reported that he passed away from his injuries. Dan had been a part of the Airshow community for nearly 30 years and claimed quick respect for his work ethic and professionalism. After almost 50 years of involvement in the kit aircraft industry, Sonex Founder and President John Monnett has announced his retirement from Sonex Aircra
