No aviation dictionary could include the word ‘HERO’ and not mention Dick Cole. Tuesday marked the end of an era when Lt. Col Dick Cole, who was Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle's co-pilot on the storied raid on Tokyo, passed away in San Antonio, TX at the age of 103. Cole was the very last surviving member of the Doolittle Raiders. On the premise of EASA's new basic regulation, permitting for MTOW of 1,322 pounds for microlights in Europe, Germany is the first country to implement the new technical LTFUL 2018 regulation. NASA Selects Two New Space Tech Research Institutes For Smart Habitats

Each Will Receive As Much As $15 Million Over A Five-Year Period

As exploration missions venture beyond low-Earth orbit and to the Moon — and eventually Mars — NASA must consider automated technologies to keep habitats operational even when they are not occupied by astronauts.
