Aerojet Delivers 50th Flight-Ready Solid Rocket Booster To ULA

SRB Slated To Launch A 'Future Mission' In 2013

The 50th Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) built by Aerojet has been delivered to United Launch Alliance (ULA) in support of the Atlas V launch vehicle. The 50th-delivered SRB, along with two additional boosters, is scheduled to help launch a future mission in 2013. Aerojet won the Atlas V SRB contract in 1999 and delivered its first successful flight for the July 2003 launch of Rainbow 1, a commercial communications satellite.

Colorado Governor Signs Sweeping Commercial Space Bill

Measure Intended To Further Expand The State's Competitiveness In The Aerospace Industry

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper signed a bill into law Thursday he says will position Colorado to capitalize on significant new opportunities in commercial space transportation. Gov. Hickenlooper signed Senate Bill 35 during an industry luncheon at the 28th National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs. The law limits liability for companies that would operate space flights from the proposed Spaceport Colorado.
