Boeing recently scored a big legal win, and a potentially even
greater payoff. Earlier this month, the American aerospace titan
won a patent-infringement claim filed against NASA regarding the
material used to construct external fuel tanks for the space
shuttle.
Charity Auction Offers Meal With Astronaut John Glenn
Hall of Fame Astronaut John Glenn is putting himself on the
auction block to raise money for college scholarships for top
engineering and science students through the Astronaut Scholarship
Foundation's online Auction of Astronaut Experiences &
Memorabilia, which opened this week online.
Erick Young, a widely recognized authority on infrared
astronomy, has been appointed science mission operations director
for NASA's Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy, or
SOFIA. The airborne observatory is currently under development at
NASA's Dryden Aircraft Operations Facility in Palmdale, CA.
