UAVOS Inc. has introduced the  “SURVEYOR-H Unmanned Aerial System with UVH-290E drone vertical takeoff/landing.” In the “tractor” modification, the new unmanned helicopter has a takeoff weight of 192 pounds. The multi-purpose unmanned UVH-290E helicopter is the “newest modification of UAVOS helicopters with a gasoline rotary engine.” The UAV has a flying range of 249 miles, a practical ceiling of 6800 feet, and a flight time of five hours with a payload of 11 pounds. Lockheed Martin Delivers NASA's InSight Spacecraft To Launch Site

Launch Planned For May 5 From Vandenberg AFB

NASA's latest mission to Mars took its first trip on its long journey to the Red Planet. Lockheed Martin has delivered NASA's InSight Mars lander to Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. The lander will now undergo final processing in preparation for a May 5 launch aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V 401 rocket.
