Airborne 03.18.15: FreeFlight's Equip-It 2020, Valdez STOL Returns, Jepp Update

FreeFlight Systems has launched Equip-It 2020, which is a program to provide ADS-B equipment for general aviation aircraft that breaks the $2,000 barrier for a basic, but complete, system. Equip-It 2020 features the product line, RANGR Lite, in two configurations — an ADS-B Out system, list priced at $1,995, and an ADS-B In/Out system, for $3,695. FreeFlight Systems is committing to build 10,000 of these systems in an effort to reduce costs to the GA community and is offering them through participating dealers. Teal Group Pegs Value Of Space Payloads Through 2034 At $240 Billion

Projection Released For Satellite Conference In Washington, D.C.

Coinciding with the Satellite 2015 Conference & Exhibition held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. during March 16-19, 2015, Teal Group space analysts have identified 4,607 space payloads proposed to be built and launched to earth or deep space orbits between 2015 and 2034. They estimate the value of these satellites and other space payloads at more than $240 billion.
