Partner Nations Meet In Tokyo To Discuss Cooperative
Effort
At a meeting Thursday of the heads of the space agencies from
the nations partnering in the International Space Station program,
the group reaffirmed the importance of full exploitation of the
station's scientific, engineering, utilization, and education
potential.
Construction And Refurbishment May Proceed At Launch Complexes
36 And 46
Space Florida said Friday that it has secured Real Property
Licenses for Space Launch Complexes 46 and 36 at Cape Canaveral Air
Force Station. As a result, the 45th Space Wing now grants Space
Florida full rights to proceed with construction and refurbishment
work at either launch location.
SpaceX has identified the problem that led to an abort of this
week's planned static engine test of its Falcon 9 rocket at Cape
Canaveral. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tells ANN that the problem was a
valve that didn't receive a specific command during the auto-start
sequence.
A Commercially Available Reduced Gravity Environment For
Scientific Experimentation
ZERO Gravity Corporation (ZERO-G) announced the establishment of
the ZERO-G Weightless Lab Thursday. The specially designed two-day
program provides the only commercial access to Martian, Lunar, zero
and hyper gravity environments for scientific research.
