The Aircraft Electronics Association has released its 2015 year-end Avionics Market Report. Total worldwide business and general aviation avionics sales for the year amounted to more than $2.4 billion. The figure represented a 4.4 percent decrease in sales compared to the previous year as reported by the participating companies in 2014. Avidyne has announced a partnership with Globalstar to develop and certify satellite-based internet and voice communications products for the aviation market. Orbital ATK has successfully completed of its fourth cargo delivery mission (OA-4) to the International Space Station (ISS), including the initial demonstration flight and three operational missions under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) contract. Orbital ATK’s Cygnus spacecraft delivered 7,700 pounds of cargo to the ISS, the largest cargo shipment to date by a commercial company.
