Two more pilots are among the 12 new members who will serve on the U.S. House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee when the 114th Congress convenes in January. The Committee and its Aviation Subcommittee will play a vital role in setting long-term spending priorities for the FAA. The National Aviation Hall of Fame, known as the NAHF has announced the names of four individuals who have been elected for enshrinement at its annual formal ceremony on October 2, 2015 in Dayton. NASA has selected SpaceX to provide launch services for the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) mission. TESS will launch aboard a Falcon 9 v1.1 launch vehicle, with liftoff targeted for August 2017 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

Project Funded By NASA's Opportunities In Technology Development

Aerojet Rocketdyne has successfully completed a hot-fire test of its MPS-120 CubeSat High-Impulse Adaptable Modular Propulsion System (CHAMPS). The MPS-120 is the first 3D-printed hydrazine integrated propulsion system and is designed to provide propulsion for CubeSats, enabling missions not previously available to these tiny satellites.

XPRIZE has announced that the deadline for the $30 million Google Lunar XPRIZE has been officially extended until December 31, 2016.
