Virgin Galactic Announces Primary Suppliers for Upcoming Delta Class

Bell, Qarbon Aerospace Nab Valuable Contract to Manufacture Next-Gen Spacecraft 

Virgin Galactic has entered into an agreement with Bell Textron and Qarbon Aerospace to manufacture "key subassemblies" for their next-gen Delta Class ships. Bell's expertise in rotary wing aircraft earned it a place of honor in consideration, given Delta's "unique feathering system and flight control surfaces." Qarbon, having cachet of its own in the field of carbon fiber fuselage production, received similar recognition from Virgin.

Rocket Lab Successfully Deploys Satellite, But Fumbles Recovery

Mission Failed At An Airborne Recovery By Helicopter

Rocket Lab USA has successfully launched its 32nd Electron mission to deploy its 152nd satellite to orbit, a science payload for the Swedish National Space Agency. The MATS satellite was deployed to its 585km circular orbit by Electron following lift-off at 17:27 UTC. The “Catch Me If You Can” mission also resulted in a successful ocean splashdown of the Electron rocket’s first stage but failed at an airborne recovery by helicopter.

Blue Spirit Aero Advancing Towards H2 Cell Prototype

Dassault's 3DExperience Platform used to Render Upcoming 12-Engine UAV

Dassault Systèmes has taken an opportunity to advertise the utility of its "3DEXPERIENCE" cloud software, showing off Blue Spirit Aero's hydrogen UAV in progress. The  French startup is working on a propeller-laden, sustainable aircraft using the cloud platform, developing the structures of their upcoming aircraft, the Dragonfly. The fixed-wing, tadpole-like aircraft is hoped to bring hydrogen-electric, sustainable power to service sometime in 2026.
