Monday's announcement of a task force that will craft rules for registering UAVs continues to garner reactions from the aviation community. Aviation consultants, JDA Solutions, have added their voice to the chorus of commenters, and said they think it will create a lot of activity, but not a lot of action. In a post on the company blog, writer Sandy Murdock says that the registration scheme is at best a "band-aid", and at worst may waste an opportunity to address a problem that actually exists. Asteroid Sample Mission Spacecraft, OSIRIS-REx, Completed By LMC

Environmental Testing Underway At Lockheed Martin Facility Near Denver

Assembly of NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft has been completed, and the spacecraft is now undergoing environmental testing at the Lockheed Martin's Space Systems facilities near Denver. OSIRIS-REx will be the first U.S. mission to return samples from an asteroid back to Earth.
