Trans States Airlines has announced a $44,000 signing bonus for new hire First Officers. The new bonus includes an additional $6,000 bonus for pilots with a type rating. Total first year compensation for new hire First Officers will now approach $86,000. Pilots with airline experience who are hired as Captain Qualified First Officers (CQFOs) can fly as a First Officer or a Captain, and can expect a minimum year one compensation package of up to $90,000, with the opportunity to earn even more when flying as a Captain. USSRC, Alabama Legislature Team Up To Send Students To Space Camp

Two Students From Each Legislative District To Receive Space Camp Scholarship

Middle-school students living in Alabama are eligible to attend a special Space Camp program free of charge. Students ages 12 to 14 may apply for Space Academy for Leading Students in Alabama, or SALSA, a Space Camp scholarship funded by the Alabama legislature. A male and female student in each Alabama legislative district will receive a scholarship to attend SALSA, which promotes awareness of science, technology, engineering and mathematics
