Sweepstakes Winner Takes Delivery Of New Skyhawk

Jeff Hux Latest Winner Of A Sporty's C172!

Jeff Hux, Sporty's 2008 Sweepstakes winner, is now back home in Sikeston, MO having taken delivery of his brand-new G1000 equipped Cessna Skyhawk. Hux and his wife traveled to Sporty's on Friday, October 10 to claim his prize.

Sporty's President Michael Wolf presented keys to the new airplane to Hux. Then Hux received G1000 Skyhawk training from Sporty's Charlie Masters, a Cessna Flight Industry Training Standards certified instructor. Hux and his wife then joined other Sporty's customers for a lunch at Sporty's weekly hot dog fly-in.

AOPA President Phil Boyer -- who happened to be visiting Sporty's that day -- also congratulated Hux on winning Sporty's sweepstakes. Upon arriving home, Hux was met at the airport by more than 200 friends and neighbors ready to see his brand-new airplane and congratulate him.

Plans for the 2009 Sporty's Sweepstakes are already underway, with the drawing scheduled for May 16, 2009. That date coincides with Sporty's Annual Fly-In and Open House in order to share the excitement of the Sweepstakes drawing with over 1,000 attendees.

The 2009 Sweepstakes aircraft is a brand-new Cessna Skyhawk with Garmin's Synthetic Vision Technology.
