Emergency CAA (NZ) AD: PAC

This AD is prompted by the structural test of a production 750XL wing which indicates the wing has less strength than previously calculated. Initial investigations by the manufacturer suggest the failure was due to certain rivets not meeting specifications. As this condition may exist in other aircraft of the same design it is necessary to issue the following AD.

DCA/750XL/7 MCTOW Limitation

Applicability: Model 750XL, all S/Ns
Requirement: To preserve certified margins of safety against structural failure, it is necessary to restrict the Maximum Certified Takeoff weight to 7125lbs.
This may be accomplished by:
1. Inserting a copy of this AD into the Flight manual opposite page 2-7.
2. Installing the following placard in the cockpit in clear view of the pilot: MAXIMUM TAKE-OFF WEIGHT = 7125 lbs
Note: This action may be accomplished by the holder of a pilots licence, in accordance with CAR Part 43 Appendix A.
Compliance: Before further flight
Effective Date: 22 December 2005
