Low-cost carrier Flyr filed for bankruptcy after a mere 20 months in operation, citing a failure to find investors in its crucial loss-making phase. Unfortunately for pax and pilots, Flyr abruptly announced the cessation of all operations, with all tickets canceled. The move put 400 employees out of work, with thousands of ticket holders left in the lurch to find new accommodations home.
