Airborne-Flight Training 09.23.20: DA20 Upgrades, CAE Financing, EMU Partnership

Also: Sterling Flight Training, National Aviation Academy, Young Eagles Workshops, ERAU Suspensions

One of our favorite training birds is back... and upgraded, to boot! The high demand for single engine training aircraft has led to the return to production of the Diamond DA20-C1, powered by a 125HP Continental IO-240 engine and equipped with new state-of-the-art G500TXi Avionics.

With over 1,000 DA20’s already operating worldwide, the strong desire for lower cost new single engine aircraft in training environments continues. The DA20 is proven to be the safest and most efficient aircraft for primary training, and fleet operators are raving about its return to production. A new program could have a significant impact on your access to flight training... CAE has launched a new financing initiative for aspiring pilots in collaboration with financial institutions around the world. With this initiative, CAE is connecting aspiring pilots with banking partners that offer specific financing solutions for pilot training, making the profession more accessible to those who wish to pursue their dream of flying for a living. Approved partners will speed up the processing of applications and will offer competitive rates. After a few questions arose following the news that a prior partnership was heading for discontinuation, the Eastern Michigan University Aviation Program has signed a 5-year partnership agreement with Crosswinds Aviation. The new partnership will reportedly add a variety of benefits to the Eastern Michigan University Aviation Program. With three locations in the Livingston County Spencer J Hardy, Flint Bishop and Oakland County International Airports, Crosswinds Aviation will offer easier access for commuter students in Livingston, Genesee and Oakland counties. With plans to add a Willow Run location in the near future, EMU Aviation students will soon have four convenient locations for training instead of one. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
