Bombardier Marks Dallas Training Center's 15 Year Anniversary

Over 45,000 Trained Since 2001

Bombardier Business Aircraft recently marked its Dallas Training Center's 15th anniversary. The Dallas training facility has trained over 45,000 people since its opening and provided over 21,000 hours of customer simulator flight time just last year.

The center operates a comprehensive pilot and technical training facility in Dallas for the Learjet 40, Learjet 45, Learjet 70, Learjet 75, Challenger 300, Challenger 350, Challenger 604, Challenger 605 and Global 5000/Global 6000 featuring Bombardier Vision flight deck aircraft. Training is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Transport Canada, CAAC and many other CAAs worldwide.

Most recently, the Dallas Training Center added the Challenger 350 simulator, which received certification by the FAA, EASA, and Transport Canada in 2014 and by China CAAC and Brazil ANAC in 2015.

Bombardier's Dallas Training Center offers courses onsite and offsite with well-trained pilots and technicians. Bombardier instructors teach all courses, and pilot instructors are type-rated and current in the aircraft they teach. Located on the west side of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Texas, Bombardier's Dallas Training Center is an 82,800-sq-ft facility that includes six Level D full-flight simulators with the latest visual systems and modern updated cockpits, two flight training devices, six flight management system trainers, 21 multimedia, interactive classrooms and numerous part task training devices.

"Bombardier's Dallas Training Center has over 50 trained pilot instructors with unparalleled experienced who have logged significant flight hours on Bombardier aircraft. We not only build the aircraft, but we also fly them and know them best. We are proud of the 15 years of service we have provided to over 45,000 customers," said Leon Botteron, General Manager, Training, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

"We are the only business aircraft OEM offering full-suite flight and technical training on products in house, with well-trained and knowledgeable pilot instructors at both our Montréal and Dallas facilities. Our customers know the line of communication remains open well after their training is complete, with customer liaison pilots around the world available to answer their questions," added Andy Nureddin, Vice President and General Manager, Customer Services, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

Bombardier has over 20 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering computer-based training (CBT) and 10 years in web-based training. Bombardier is also the first Part 142 Training provider to obtain FAA certification to offer distance learning (i.e., eLearning) for credit.
