Sporty's staff of
active pilots has designed a flight timer loaded with
cockpit-friendly features. Great for IFR or VFR use, Sporty's
Deluxe Flight Timer can be used for timing total flight time, fuel
burn or instrument approaches. Sporty's Deluxe Flight Timer has an
easy-to-read screen with large numbers. The wide buttons are easy
to press, even with large fingers or in turbulence.
Backlit for night flying, two independent timers count up or
down. A unique alarm for each timer, along with dual red flashing
LEDs, announce the timer's expiration so pilots don't have to rely
on hard-to-hear audio alarms. The clock displays local time in
12-hour or 24-hour format plus Zulu time.
Measuring 3" wide by 2-1/2" high by 3/4" deep, Sporty's Deluxe
Flight Timer includes a holder with a swivel clip for attaching the
Timer to kneeboards.
Remove the clip for yoke mounting.
ANN has one that we're
playing with at the moment and we have decided that we like it... a
lot. The red flashing lights on the countdown timer are hard to
miss in case the ambient noise level precludes hearing the beep,
and the display is VERY readable in a variety of lighting
conditions. The night-lit display is bright enough to read without
blasting out the displays of nearby gauges... someone was thinking
when they designed this thing.
The first impression is a good one and for $25 bucks, you can
hardly go wrong. Powered by two AAA batteries, this looks like a
great value.
Sporty's Deluxe Flight Timer [4993A] requires two AAA batteries
(not included). The Timer is available for $24.95.
