Ninety-Nines Invites Virginia Pilots To Participate In 2015 Toy Airlift

Event Will Take Place On December 12 In Richmond, VA

The Virginia Chapter Ninety-Nines will once again be holding a Toy Airlift at Richmond Executive-Chesterfield County Airport on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The Toy Airlift will benefit the children of military personnel at Fort Lee, Virginia and the veterans at McGuire Veterans’ Hospital.

Airports are encouraged to place a toy collection box in their lobby where pilots and community members can place new, unwrapped toys.  Items such as patient clothes, toiletries, and gift cards can also be placed in the box for veterans at McGuire Veterans’ Hospital.

On Saturday, December 12th local pilot(s) can fly/drive the items collected to Richmond Executive-Chesterfield County Airport where they will be picked up by U. S. Army Soldiers from Fort Lee to be delivered to their Holiday Helpers program or to McGuire Veterans’ Hospital.  While they’re at the airport, visitors can listen to live holiday music and have lunch at King’s Corner Restaurant.  Santa Claus will fly into the airport around 10:00 a.m. and will be in the terminal until 2:00 p.m.
