Getting it All Together in the Pacific Northwest
The New Glasair Company, which purchased
production rights and tooling from the bankrupt Stoddard-Hamilton
Company two years ago, has opened a new website.
The site provides comprehensive information on all of the models
of aircraft currently being sold in standard and Jump Start
kits.
Consumers can choose between the Glasair III,
Glasair IIS RG, Glasair SII FT and the Glastar FT, TD, or FP
models. Once a selection is made, there is comprehensive
information on subjects like: introduction to the design, the
benefits of that particular design, design features, performance
and specifications for each design. There is also a synopsis on
what it¹s like to build that design, kit prices, financing
information, a list of options and accessories; and finally, there
is a photo album of some of the 1,200 Glasairs and GlaStars that
have been completed and flown.
"Really, it's everything we used to package in a printed
brochure," said company president, Mikael Via. "The advantage is,
it's free, it's easy to bookmark and then return to it at any time,
and if desired, any part of the site or all of it can be printed
out. What's most important is that the site provides enough
information and guidance to be able to make an informed decision
about whether or not it's time to buy and fly."
New Glasair/GlaStar is back to normal. Better, even.
Via added that New Glasair has been shipping
complete Glasair/GlaStar kits for months and that the company has
plans for a long-term commitment to the sport aviation movement and
to Glasair/GlaStar builders.
With roots dating back to 1980, the original and revitalized
Glasair companies have shipped nearly 3000 Glasair/GlaStar kits
worldwide. The website has full information for contacting the
factory.
