Tamarack Joins ICAO Global Coalition for Sustainable Aviation

Tamarack Winglets May Allow For Up To 33% Reduced Fuel Use

Tamarack Aerospace is the newest member of the ICAO Global Coalition for Sustainable Aviation.

The Coalition is a forum of stakeholders which aims to facilitate the development of new ideas and accelerate the implementation of innovative solutions that will further reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Other notable members of the Coalition include Airbus, Archer, and others.

“Climate change is one of the biggest threats our globe faces, and the aviation industry must step up and do its part to embrace more sustainable practices. We are looking forward to collaborating with other members of the ICAO Global Coalition for Sustainable Aviation. Together, there is nothing our industry cannot accomplish,” says Tamarack CEO and Co-Founder Nick Guida.

As a new member, Tamarack took part in the 2021 ICAO Stocktaking Preview Seminar on August 10, 2021. This Seminar is setting the scene for the main ICAO Stocktaking Event beginning on August 31, 2021 and will discuss the main challenges aviation faces on the road to decarbonization, as well as provide insights into the innovations that will be on display during the main event.

Tamarack Active Winglets consist of a wing extension, a vertical winglet for some aircraft, and an autonomous load alleviation system. The technology features instantaneous adjustment to turbulence, providing smoother and safer flights, quicker climbs, allowance for shorter runways, fewer stops, and up to 33% percent reduced fuel use. Tamarack Active Winglets modifications are featured on more than 140 CitationJets today, and are being considered for other aircraft including single-aisle commercial, freighter and military aircraft.
