Sierra Industries has amended its Cessna 206 Long Range Fuel
System STC, allowing the installation of the wing tank modification
to the turbine engine upgrade from Soloy Aviation Solutions.
Sierra’s Supplemental Type Certificate amendment (SA3634SW)
is applicable to both the original Soloy Turbine Cessna 206 Mark I
(STC SA2353NM) and the new Soloy Aviation Solutions Mark II
(SA01878SE) aircraft.
Carefully balanced to maintain the aircraft’s existing
balance and center of gravity, Sierra’s Long Range Fuel
System adds approximately 50 gallons additional fuel capacity to
the original specifications and provides up to 2 hours of
additional cruise time. The Auxiliary Fuel Tanks are manufactured
from tough, durable vulcanized rubber and completely integrated
with the existing fuel system, with no additional switches or fuel
gauges required.
The fuel system is engineered and built to exacting F.A.R. Part
23 standards and is available in kit form for field installation.
Installation by certified FAA mechanics is also available at
Sierra’s facilities in Uvalde, Texas. Kit pricing for the
Sierra Auxiliary Fuel System starts at under $13,500.
Soloy Aviation Solutions’ STC SA2353NM (Mark I) installs
the Rolls-Royce 250-C20S turbine engine and STC SA01878SE (Mark II)
installs the Rolls-Royce 250-B17F/2 turbine engine. Improved
overall performance and reliability as well as quieter operation
are hallmarks of the engine modification. Both the Sierra fuel
system modification and Soloy turbine upgrades are available for
Cessna U206G, TU206G, 206H & T206H aircraft from 1977 models to
present.
Sierra Industries has specialized in Cessna aircraft since 1983,
holding more than 75 proprietary Citation modifications and
products – which covers only part of the company’s 300
FAA supplemental type certificates.
