FlyRight Training Center Receives FAA 142 Certification

Sim-Based Training Offered For King Air 200

FlyRight Inc. received FAA certification Tuesday as the country’s newest 142 Flight Training Center. The FAA’s approval of FlyRight’s training programs at the highest level of accreditation comes after 3 years of intensive program development. FlyRight's 142 Training Center certification enables the company to offer initial, ATP, and recurrent training programs entirely in-house, using its King Air B200 and Raytheon 1900D Level-C full motion simulators.

"FAA involvement in our program development has resulted in raising the bar to the higher level of operational and training effectiveness," said Jim Crawford, Director of Operations for FlyRight. "All of our customized courseware, including curriculums, Pilot Training Manual, Quick Reference Handbook, and animated PowerPoints, were scrutinized by the local Flight Standards District Office. Their feedback enabled us to hone the program, building on all the experience of our staff and the FAA, to create a world-class training experience."

In recognition of the experience and expertise of FlyRight instructors, the FAA also certified a FlyRight instructor as a Training Center Evaluator, eliminating the requirement for FAA examiners for checkrides. The company says its initial and recurrent King Air 200 courses will begin immediately.

FlyRight was founded in 2003 to provide professional, simulator-based flight training to FAA part 91 and certificated operators. Based at the Concord Regional Airport, FlyRight's 10,000 square foot training center is centrally located on the east coast, just 20 minutes from Charlotte-Douglas Airport.
