Bell Appoints New Director of Tiltrotor UAV Programs

Longtime Bell engineer Robert Dompka (right) has been appointed Director of Tiltrotor UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Programs.  In making the announcement, Bell's senior vice president of its Government Business Unit (GBU) Gen. Terry Dake (USMC-Ret) said, "Rob brings both great tiltrotor expertise, having worked in senior engineering leadership positions on both the V-22 and the BA609, and experience with certification, manufacturing engineering and product support.  I am confident Rob will bring Bell's new and exciting UAV product line into our long list of respected high tech products,"  General Dake added.

Mr. Dompka is a graduate of Duke University and holds a master's degree in aerospace science.  A Bell employee for nearly 20 years, Mr. Dompka has worked on a wide variety of commercial and military programs, including the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey and Bell/Agusta BA609 tiltrotor aircraft; as well as the Bell 412 RSAF and AB139 programs -- with outstanding results.
