NBAA Expands On-Demand Education Webinar Offerings

Online Courses Cover Topics Ranging From Politics To Winter Ops

The NBAA has expanded it's live, interactive business aviation webinars, the association announced Tuesday. NBAA's initial webinars have proven highly popular with the Association's Members, garnering robust participation, favorable feedback and requests for additional offerings. A supplement to NBAA's On-Demand Education (ODE) Program, the semi-monthly webinars offer participants live learning opportunities on relevant business aviation topics in several educational tracks.

Safety & Risk Management - Helps enhance safety while minimizing risk in all aspects of an aviation operation, from aircraft operations on the ground and in the air through operations involving crew scheduling, flight crews, and hangar operations. Upcoming webinars in this track include Protecting Your Medical Certification: Tips for Professional Pilots on August 18, 2010.

Maintenance & Technical Issues - Addresses topics related to aircraft (airframe, engine, avionics, other components) technical maintenance and management of the aviation maintenance function, including aircraft maintenance outsourcing. Upcoming webinars include Icing and Winter Operations: Review the Essentials on September 9, 2010.

Aviation Management & Aircraft Ownership - Deals with topics related to acquiring an asset through ownership or leasing (e.g., taxes, insurance, regulatory compliance, staffing/personnel) to managing the aviation function, whether via outsourced support (e.g., aircraft management company, charter) or through an in-house flight department. Upcoming webinars include Six Steps to a Seamless Aircraft Transaction on March 24, 2011.

Industry Update - Includes topics relevant to all business aviation professionals, from government affairs issues through NBAA Committee and Strategic Focus Team activities that address industry-wide challenges and opportunities. Upcoming webinars include NBAA Election 2010 Preview: Race for Control of Congress on September 23, 2010.

Career & Leadership Development - Includes programs designed to attract students to a career in business aviation, sessions that help aviation employees improve upon their skill sets to enhance their performance as aviation professionals, to leadership and management development seminars that provide tools to grow in a business aviation career. Upcoming webinars include Family Assistance Response After an Incident/Accident on August 26, 2010.

These offerings provide point-and-click access to the information business aviation professionals need to ascend in their careers. On-demand courses are available in two formats: online as a pay-per-view product, or via video CD-ROM. Both online and CD programs include supporting PowerPoint slides that are conveniently synchronized to the overall presentation.
