Company Aims To Eliminate Hassles Of Traditional Fuel Cards
JetFuelX has launched a new jet fuel price management tool for aircraft owners and corporate flight departments. Developed by pilots for operators, the program is free, fast, and can be used on any mobile device.
“JetFuelX was built on a simple principle," said Jason Talley, founder of the company. “I wanted to have all my fuel card prices update automatically, be able to search them for the best price, and have fuel ordered in under 15 seconds.”
To save usage time and hassles associated with fuel cards, JetFuelX operates with most of the major fuel vendors in the industry in order to provide a quickly searchable e-database of fuel prices. JetFuelX analyzes all the latest pricing data for all the operator's cards and lets the operator know the cheapest vendor in seconds.
JetFuelX intends to keep their new service available free of charge. To date, JetFuelX has over 1,600 aircraft using the program, representing roughly 1,200 distinct owners/operators. Talley plans to bring more efficiencies from the IT revolution to the aerospace industry, summarizing, "Business practices today are reminiscent of 1995, and, by and large, the advances in productivity and efficiency we enjoy in our daily lives hasn’t been realized in aviation. This is a first step towards rectifying that. "
“JetFuelX will revolutionize and commoditize the cost of aviation jet fuel," said Tracy Forrest, a CJ3 operator. "As Amazon has done for retail, eBay has done for auctions, and Uber has done for Taxis, JetFuelX will provide informed and educated pricing information to jet aircraft operators. It will take the mystery and secrecy out of fuel pricing."
