Includes One Year Of ARINCDirect Flight Support Services
Rockwell Collins has combined its Future Airspace Navigation System (FANS) 1/A upgrade for Bombardier Challenger 604, Falcon 50EX, Falcon 2000 and Falcon 2000EX aircraft—equipped with the company’s avionics—with an annual subscription to its premium suite of ARINCDirect flight support mobile applications and services.
Rockwell Collins’ FANS 1/A upgrade consists of new avionics hardware and associated service bulletin updates to support Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Contract (ADS-C) and Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC). By combining the upgrade with ARINCDirect service, operators will gain FANS 1/A Federal Aviation Administration letter of authorization assistance, best-in-class flight planning, weather, VHF/SATCOM data link connectivity and 24/7 global support.
“FANS 1/A saves operators time and fuel by giving them preferred access to wind-efficient transatlantic routes, and by adding the industry’s leading flight planning and trip support service, operators will experience even more benefits,” said Craig Olson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins.
“Our goal is to make flight operations as predictable and efficient as possible for flight departments—no matter where they are located in the world—and this combined offering of FANS 1/A with our ARINCDirect apps and flight support services is the latest example,” said Dave Poltorak, vice president, Aviation and Network Services for Rockwell Collins.
The new FANS 1/A-ARINCDirect combined offering is available now through Rockwell Collins-authorized dealers. FANS 1/A deliveries for the Challenger 604 will begin this summer and for the Falcon 50EX, 2000 and 2000EX aircraft toward the end of the year.
