Airborne-UnCrewed 05.03.22: XPO22 Was Huge, Percepto In FL, Auterion Chute

Also: DJI 'Nyet' To Russia/Ukraine, Kea Aerospace, Mars Helo, Wings For Val

XPONENTIAL 2022 was HUGE! The ANN media team was in attendance and wound up spending time with dozens of companies pushing the capabilities of modern uncrewed and autonomous vehicle technology.

The exhibit halls were packed and the general consensus among those we talked with, was that XPO 22 was one to remember. In addition to the exhibitors, much news was made by AUVSI itself... Not long after the announcement of its service agreement with Florida Power & Light, Percepto has announced it will open a new facility in Riviera Beach, Florida. The new office will employ around 100 new personnel in technical, high-wage jobs at the 11,000 square-foot building. Percepto will invest several million dollars in the location, providing a more local resource for its newest client, aiding Florida Power & Light (FPL) with their remote monitoring network. Auterion has added a new option to its roster of drone products, announcing the addition of Drone Rescue Systems' parachute recovery products to their UAS fold. The system combines an autonomous parachute with emergency BlackBox and data storage, allowing enterprise operators to obtain an additional margin of safety in the course of normal operations. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-UnCrewed!!!
