Sportys Annual Tease... This Year, Win A SkyCatcher!

Sporty's Pilot Shop Offers A Chance To Win Cessna's Latest Airplane

Sporty's Pilot Shop, whose airport signs have encouraged potential pilots to "Learn to Fly Here" for years, has again teamed up with Cessna Aircraft Company and Garmin to give away a brand new Cessna 162 SkyCatcher equipped with Garmin G300 avionics for its 2010 Sweepstakes.

The Cessna SkyCatcher is designed from spinner to tail to set the new standard for an entry-level aircraft. Though manufactured as an LSA, the SkyCatcher meets all the required ASTM standards for certification while providing safety, reliability, and utility.

Cessna is planning initial deliveries this fall, so the Sporty's SkyCatcher Sweepstakes airplane will be one of the first chances for customers to see this pace-setting aircraft. The airplane is equipped with the proprietary Garmin G300 avionics package, and is powered by a composite propeller mated to a Continental O-200D engine developed specifically for the Light Sport market. It also features a 44-inch wide cabin, ergonomic seats, accessible cargo area, and a unique under-panel center stick control. Cessna claims the industry's most extensive network of dealers and service centers.

'We chose the SkyCatcher for our next Sweepstakes because it is the ultimate personal airplane," said Sporty's President Michael Wolf. "Plus, its glass panel avionics makes the airplane state of the art."

Any order placed with Sporty's until May 10, 2010 will enter the customer as a potential winner of the Sweepstakes airplane. The winner will be officially announced at Sporty's annual Fly-In, scheduled for May 15, 2010.

This brand-new SkyCatcher will mark the 28th aircraft awarded in Sporty's annual Sweepstakes. Every year since 1986 Sporty's has awarded at least one airplane to a fortunate customer.
