Canadian Citizen Starts Petition To Revive The Avro Arrow

Has Collected 218 Signatures On His Petition To The Canadian Government

A Canadian citizen who is obviously a fan of the Avro Arrow airpane has established a petition on the website change.org in hopes of convincing the Canadian government to revive the plane.

The petition was started by Sattar Rammo. On the page, Rammo says: "We are  Canadians who love and cherish their country, and take pride in everything Canadian, we would like to ask the honorable government represented in person by yourself to consider reviving the Avro Arrow in a variant termed the Super Arrow, as the previous government rejected the notion, we ask you to reconsider it and hereto we have signed this petition ...... It is our pride and honor that we were forced to relinquish, we are asking for our place back in the World as a leader ... thank you."

The petition is addressed The Prime Minister of Canada , the Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau.

According to The Canadian Encyclopedia online, the Avro Arrow (CF-105), an advanced, supersonic, twin-engined, all-weather interceptor jet aircraft developed by A.V. Roe of Canada from 1949 until the government's controversial cancellation of the project in 1959. The Canadian Press reported in 2012 that a Canadian company had pitched bringing back the airplane as a Canadian alternative to the F-35. That proposal was rejected.

Now comes this petition to the Canadian government to once again consider the Arrow. So far, Rammo has collected 218 signatures on his petition.
