Phillips 66 Aviation Adds To Its FBO Network

Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois Airports Now Served

Phillips 66 Aviation rang in 2009 with a number of Midwestern fixed base operators now offering its branded services.

Butterfly Aviation in Goodland, KS -- the commercial sunflower production capital of the United States -- is now a Phillips 66 Aviation dealer. The full-service FBO at Goodland's Renner Field serves an area that is the primary retail trade center for an agricultural region that stretches across eastern Colorado from northwest Kansas to southern Nebraska. Butterfly offers aviators a variety of services including fuel, maintenance, courtesy/rental cars and a restaurant on the field. Marketer City Service Valcon provides Butterfly's fuel supply.

Otis Air Service of Kearney, NE is also now part of the Phillips 66 Aviation network. The sole FBO serving Kearney Regional Airport, Otis Air features National Air Transportation Association (NATA) Safety First trained and certified line technicians. The FBO prides itself on quick turnaround and what they call "red carpet" customer treatment.

Another Nebraska FBO, Sioux Air Inc., has joined the Phillips 66 brand serving Martin Field in South Sioux City. Pilots landing at Sioux Air are following in the footsteps of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, who stopped in the area back in 1804 after they crossed the Missouri River. Sapp Brothers Petroleum is the Phillips 66 fuel marketer for Sioux Air.

Tate Aviation and TDB Aviation in Illinois are now serving pilots as Phillips 66 Aviation dealers. Tate Aviation is the sole FBO for the Southern Illinois Airport in Murphysboro, famous for the Tower Rock formation in the nearby Mississippi River. The airport has a 6,500-foot runway.

TDB Aviation serves Olney–Noble Airport in a city that once claimed to be the oil capital of the world. Noble was settled in 1818. Marketer Superior Fuels handles supply for the FBOs.

More than 616 FBOs are now part of a brand legacy that began 81 years ago during the general aviation's genesis.
