Six-Month SR22 Lease, P-51 Rides Among Auction Items At Fisher Island Event

All To Support Boys And Girls Clubs Of Broward County

Cirrus Design, The Red Tail Project, The Private Bank of Bank of America and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County, FL have joined forces to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Clubs and The Red Tail Project at the Fisher Island Yacht Rendezvous' charity auction Saturday, November 11.

The four-day event runs November 9-12, and culminates with a black-tie gala dinner auction followed by dancing, celebrity appearances and cocktails. Last year almost $5,000,000 was raised at this event for the Boys and Girls clubs of Broward County, Inc., where nearly 13,000 'at risk' children are served.

The Red Tail Project's mission is to bring the story of the Tuskegee Airmen to every classroom in America through an aviation education program and the restoration of a rare P-51C Mustang as a symbol of the contribution of African Americans who served our country during WWII. The project is part of the Minnesota Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Cirrus Design has donated a six-month lease for the use of a Cirrus SR22 to the highest bidder. The Cirrus package also includes the Cirrus Access program, which includes a certified flight instructor who will function as an on-call personal pilot, trainer (for the winner and/or their immediate family) and airplane manager during the same six-month period. Insurance coverage, hangar and maintenance will also be included. The winning bidder will only be responsible for fuel costs.

The Cirrus Experience will cap an auction of a dozen or so exclusive live auction items that include jet and yacht charters, Cartier jewelry, and experiences -- like the Cirrus Experience -- that can only be found at this Fisher Island Auction. But there's more.

The RedTail Project is offering the Tuskegee Airmen Experience at the evening's Platinum Silent Auction. The package includes the once-in-a-lifetime ride in a Commemorative Air Force P-51D Mustang; a beautiful framed and numbered limited-edition print of the RedTail Project's P51-C Mustang autographed by over sixty Tuskegee Airmen; dinner with Tuskegee Airmen Judge Richard Rutledge and Lt. Col Eldridge Williams; the book "A Train" by Lt. Col. Charles W. Dryden; and tickets for two provided by Spirit Airlines to Atlanta where the CAF's Mustang is based.

Rutledge and Williams will be at the Fisher Island auction along with Lt. Col. Lee Archer, who will be on hand to support the Boy's and Girl's Club and the Red Tail Project.

Since May 29, 2004 when the rare P-51C Mustang "Tuskegee Airmen" was severely damaged in an accident, The Red Tail Project has raised more than $300,000 of the $2 million required to repair the aircraft and to establish the educational program.
