Application Deadline For AUVSI Innovation Challenge Extended

Registrations Must Be Received By July 10

AUVSI has extended the deadline to July 10 for applications for the second annual Innovation Challenge.

The competition is for small, start-up and early stage companies operating in the commercial, defense and non-traditional unmanned systems or autonomous systems sectors. The companies will present their technology to government and industry representatives at the Unmanned Systems – Defense. Protection. Security. (USDPS) conference in Washington, D.C. on Aug. 20 to 21, 2019.

The winner will receive a prize package valued at more than $35,000. Finalists will have the opportunity to present to the defense, protection and security community and be positioned as a leading innovator, recognition on the USDPS Innovation Challenge webpage and in the USDPS onsite program.

During the Innovation Challenge, five finalists will present their technology to the USDPS audience and Advisory Panel. Following a six-minute pitch, each finalist will have four minutes to answer questions from the Advisory Panel. The panel will provide feedback and guidance, but the winner will be selected by the USDPS audience.

To participate, interested companies must complete the Innovation Challenge application by Wednesday, July 10. There is no fee to enter the contest. Members of the USDPS Executive Committee will review applications and select five finalists to compete in the Innovation Challenge at the conference. All applicants will be notified of their selection status by late July.

Registration to attend USDPS is complimentary for military and Dept. of Defense personnel.
