Dog Smacks Drone Out Of The Air

The Event Was, Of Course, Captured On Video And Posted To YouTube

Seems like the UAV industry now as at least one canine critic. A man who was attempting to fly his new drone at his home in Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada had the aircraft swatted out of the air by the family dog.

The event was, as you might expect, captured on video and posted to YouTube by user mid399.

The flight ... short as it was ... took place on Christmas Day, according to a report form UPI. The video shows the operator preparing to launch the quadcopter in his back yard.

The aircraft only got a few inches off the ground when the family dog darts from behind a shed, grabbed it in his mouth, and threw it to the ground.

According to the description posted with the video, neither the dog or the drone was hurt in the incident. The dog managed to avoid the aircraft's rotor blades, while the drone landed in soft snow, according to mig399.
