Commercial Droneport And Teaching Facility Now Offers Facilities Rental

The Aerodrome Near Las Vegas Designed Specifically For Drones

The Aerodrome, billed as the world’s first commercial droneport and teaching facility in Henderson/Boulder City, NV., has announced that its facilities are now available for rent. The safe, secure and FAA-compliant environment provides agencies and companies with an unlimited ability to test, train, and fly the next wave of applications for the unmanned aircraft of today, and plan for the future, just 20 minutes from Las Vegas McCarran International Airport.

“We are giving other companies access to our facility to test, train, fly or simply hold a meeting related to drones,” said Jonathan Daniels, president of The Aerodrome.  “There is no other facility quite like it in the world.  Surrounding yourself with the drone culture inspires innovative thinking and is certain to produce ‘the next big thing’ is UAS development.”

The Henderson hangar facility features:

  • 7,000 square feet of configurable space
  • Vampire/VITS and Redbird TD2 simulators
  • Up to 3 modular (configurable) classrooms
  • Conference room
  • Hangar space that can accommodate events of up to 400 people (in a reception configuration)
  • Catering services
  • Transportation to/from local hotels and the airport

The Eldorado Droneport in Boulder City features:

  • 50 Acres
  • 60’ x 60’ x 30’ Dronecube – configurable with landing pad
  • Air-conditioned office space
  • Air-conditioned Pilots Lounge
  • 500’ runway
  • Charging stations

The Aerodrome’s classrooms, simulators and flying airspace can be used for testing ideas, theories and practical applications. Expert instructors are always available for consultation, collaboration and instruction. The facilities are also a resource for manufacturers wanting to test and refine their new platform designs before testing the open market.

Aerodrome owns and operates teaching airports and an online-education program that revolutionize Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) education. The world’s first commercial droneport provides training and prep courses for FAA certification testing that pilots and maintenance personnel will need to work in the UAS industry. In addition, it offers expert advisory and consulting services as well as facilities rentals, enterprise solutions and outsourced aviation service and repair.

The Aerodrome, which is open to the public but privately operated, offers training for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS); provides FAA repairman and pilot certification and testing; and offers a variety of other educational, research and development services. E-learning programs are currently taught from the Aerodrome campus in Henderson, NV as well as online programs for participants not able to attend in person.  The droneport can support civil entities with section 333s and special airworthiness certificates.  It will also support hobby and recreational model aircraft flight, including specially-made drone racing courses.
