NBAA Names AMT Scholars

Recipients of Scholarships Bound for FlightSafety, Rolls-Royce, Garmin, Dassault, & More

The National Business Aviation Association announced the recipients of its 2023 Maintenance AMT scholarships, placing young professionals with industry training.

Students will be able to kick start their career with free training, courses, and certifications from a number of NBAA supporters and sponsors. This year's crop of scholarships includes courses from FlightSafety International, who will grant Portia Ani a Falcon 2000EX EASy Maintenance Initial Training Program; Collins Aerospace enrolling Enrique Cardenas in their Pro Line Fusion Gulfstream G-280 Avionics Course; and Rolls-Royce as they enroll Xavier Castillo in an engine training class.

Additional Scholarships will train personnel on the Garmin G3 and its maintenance, Williams International's FJ Series Engine, Dassault Falcon jets, Beechcraft's King Air 250 lineup, Cessna's Citation series, Pratt & Whitney's PT6 turboprops, and Gulfstream's G550. The majority of courses will focus on accessible, entry level education to provide learners a foundation of training to enter the workforce and begin building their career on the right foot.

The NBAA will open its scholarship program once again for 2024 awards later this year. The program is overseen by the Maintenance Committee, but other NBAA arms offer a number of professional development options for aspiring personnel, too.
