Cessna Delivering First Ukrainian-registered Citation

Cessna is readying the delivery of a Citation CJ3 to ACR Aero-Charter Airlines, making it the first Ukrainian-registered Citation business jet. The first of four Citations ordered by ACR, a second CJ3 will join the fleet in July, with another CJ3 and an XLS+ scheduled for delivery in 2010.

Based in Kiev, ACR is one of Ukraine’s leading air charter businesses. Founded in 1997, the company operates a diverse fleet of business jets and has selected the Citation family as ideal for its future fleet expansion plans.

ACR’s delivery has been facilitated by Cessna’s authorized sales representative Jet-Alliance, which worked closely with the Ukrainian authorities to secure certification, and Cessna Finance Corporation, which has provided financing for the fleet order.

“ACR has established a leading position in the Ukrainian market by offering a world-class service. The Citation CJ3 and XLS+ will strengthen our light and midsize capabilities and thereby enable us to serve a wider range of customers,” said Michael Semenov, president of ACR.

“Through the operating capabilities of the Citation range and the strength of Cessna’s representation in the region, we have been able to deliver significant value to ACR, which will enhance both its and Cessna’s presence in the Ukrainian business jet market,” said Trevor Esling, Cessna’s vice president for International Sales.
