RAPSCO New Supplier For Metro, Merlin Motor Mounts

RAPSCO (Regional Airline Parts Support Company) announced Tuesday the company has reached an agreement with LORD Corporation to take over manufacture and distribution of parts and assemblies related to the Fairchild (now M7 Aerospace) Metro (below) and Merlin models SA26 and SA226 aircraft.

"Strengthening our existing relationship with LORD Corporation will ensure that operators of older Metro and Merlin models in the fleet will be able to obtain engine mount components well into the future," said RAPSCO Chairman Dave Candler. "With the recently published more encompassing inspection criteria, a substantial supply of parts is key to these operators’ success."

Over the past several years, RAPSCO -- a San Antonio, TX-based FAA PMA approved manufacturer of aftermarket parts for the global Regional and General Aviation communities -- has expanded their inventories to support these aircraft with LORD engine mount components.

With headquarters in Cary, NC, LORD Corporation is a privately held company that designs, manufactures and markets devices and systems to manage mechanical motion and control noise and vibration; formulates, produces and sells general purpose and specialty adhesives and coatings; and develops products and systems utilizing magnetically responsive technologies.
