Each Will Make Their Pitch During AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2019 In May
AUVSI has named five startup companies as finalists in the AUVSI Startup Showdown powered by Starburst and has invited them to compete on stage at AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2019 at McCormick Place in Chicago on Wednesday, May 1.
The competition, produced in partnership with leading global aerospace accelerator and investor Starburst, identifies up-and-coming, investment-worthy startups and gives them a platform to share their innovations with investors and organizations looking to form profitable connections with the next generation of game-changers.
The finalists that will participate in the competition include:
- Cuberg, a graduate research company based in California and focused on battery redesign addressing the major challenges of lithium-ion battery technology.
- Hionos, a Paris-based company that has developed an autopilot system to enable drone use in critical operations.
- Horizon 31, a Tennessee-based business providing an unmanned vehicle communication system that allows global control, multiple vehicle control, network latency tolerance and security.
- Internest, also based in Paris, designed and developed an embedded system based on hardware and firmware to assist and improve flight safety for drones and helicopters in critical operations.
- PreVision, a company based in New York that has developed Live Imagery Maps in Time (LIMIT), which allows users to see the world live in 3-D from any angle or perspective.
Each participating company will have the opportunity to pitch their business to a panel of industry leaders and an audience of unmanned systems professionals. A five-minute live question and answer session with the judges will follow. The grand prize winner will receive a package consisting of goods and services valued at $35,000.
