SmartSky Networks Completes Additional STC for Dassault Falcon 900
SmartSky Networks announced the completion of 7 additional STCs for their Air-to-Ground network, which will soon be available through the affiliated dealer network.
First up in the release queue should be an STC for the Dassault Falcon 2000, the most recent recipient of the brand’s 5G airborne connectivity. An example of the breed has been given one of SmartSky’s Flagship system installations, returning to service on April 15th. They expect the STC certification to be complete too, should it follow the same pattern as the Dassault Falcon 900 earlier this year. The brand was also pleased to note a recent customer installation of their LITE system, an in-flight streaming-capable connectivity suite geared towards smaller aircraft.
“We’re pursuing an aggressive strategy to get the majority of business aircraft certified for SmartSky as soon as possible because the demand s
ignals we are getting from the marketplace are significant,” said David Helfgott, CEO of SmartSky Networks.
“Not only are our customers flying with highly satisfactory results, we are hosting numerous demonstration flights across the country for prospective customers. Each SmartSky equipped passenger flight delivers an experience unlike anything they’ve had before, making passengers and crew eager to have our system on the planes they fly.”
SmartSky has plenty of popular airframes in the pipeline, with aircraft from Textron, Embraer, and Bombardier. STCs in the works include ones for the King Air B200 and 300 series aircraft, the Citation Sovereign, the Embraer Legacy 450/500, the Phenom 300, and the Challenger 300/350. The company expects to have certification covering even more major aircraft types in service in North America by the end of 2023.”
