Heli-Expo 2008: P&WC Signs ERA Helicopters Maintenance Contract

Newly-Intro'd Fleet Management Program Finds A Customer At HAI

Pratt & Whitney Canada signed a Fleet Management Program contract with ERA Helicopters of Los Angeles to provide engine support for its fleet of Agusta 119 Koala helicopters. The agreement covers ERA’s 26 installed and three spare PT6B-37A engines over a period of 11 years.

The company announced the contract at this week's Heli-Expo 2008 in Houston, TX.

"We are delighted to be able to offer a cost-effective and 'no surprise' maintenance program to ERA, a major provider of personnel transport services to oil and gas fields in the Gulf of Mexico," said Eva Azoulay, Commercial Director of P&WC’s Service Centres organization. "These are very challenging operating conditions that demand an innovative solution, like our Fleet Management Program, to effectively meet maintenance needs."

P&WC offers a range of plans that guarantees a customer’s operating costs over the long-term life of the aircraft. As ANN reported, the enginemaker announced earlier its new FMP, catered specifically to the unique needs of helicopter operators.
